Welcome to MicroSkills Coaching Australia, helping you manage family court proceedings with less stress, less cost, and greater control.

MicroSkills Coaching Australia helps individuals navigate family court proceedings more efficiently, with a focus on reducing both financial and emotional costs. It provides practical guidance on preparation, negotiation, and strategic decision-making, enabling clients to approach their matters with clarity and confidence. The service is designed for self-represented individuals or those seeking to better manage legal expenses while maintaining control over their case. Through structured sessions and real-world insights, clients learn how to streamline processes, avoid common pitfalls, and pursue fair settlements. The goal is not legal advice, but empowering individuals to engage in the process more effectively and with less stress.

Dr Paul Hedayati is the founder of MicroSkills Coaching Australia, specialising in helping individuals navigate family court proceedings more efficiently by reducing financial and emotional costs. His work focuses on empowering self-represented individuals and those seeking greater control over their legal journey through structured guidance, strategic thinking, and practical decision-making.
Dr Hedayati brings a strong combination of academic expertise and real-world experience. Holding a PhD with a focus on systems thinking, he applies a structured, big-picture approach to complex family law matters—helping clients understand how different elements of their case interact. He also holds a Graduate Diploma (with Distinction) from RMIT University and has completed specialised training in positive psychology at The University of Melbourne, equipping him with evidence-based tools to support resilience and emotional regulation during high-stress proceedings.
In addition, Dr Hedayati has completed formal training in meditation, which plays a critical role in his coaching approach. Family court processes often involve prolonged uncertainty, stress, and emotional triggers. Meditation techniques help individuals regulate their emotional responses, maintain focus, and make clearer, more rational decisions under pressure. This is particularly important in negotiations and court interactions, where impulsive reactions can lead to unnecessary conflict, delays, and increased costs.
A trained mediator and accredited MBTI® and FIRO-B® practitioner, Dr Hedayati integrates psychological, behavioural, and communication insights to help clients manage conflict, engage more effectively in negotiations, and approach settlement discussions with clarity and confidence. Drawing on his experience in coaching and his publications in interpersonal relationships, he offers a practical, structured approach to navigating family court—focused on efficiency, strategy, and sustainable outcomes rather than prolonged conflict.
Our Services

Emotional Resilience & Court Readiness
Family court proceedings are often prolonged, uncertain, and emotionally demanding. This service focuses on helping clients maintain psychological stability, clarity, and consistency throughout the process. Clients are supported to recognise emotional triggers—such as frustration, fear, or urgency—and develop practical techniques to regulate their responses in real time.
The coaching integrates structured mindset tools and meditation-based practices to improve focus, reduce anxiety, and strengthen decision-making under pressure. This is particularly relevant before hearings, during negotiations, and when responding to communications from the other party, where emotional reactions can unintentionally escalate conflict or lead to poor decisions.
The objective is to help clients remain composed, think clearly, and act deliberately rather than react impulsively—supporting more effective participation in the process and reducing unnecessary emotional and financial costs.

“Know the other party and know yourself, and you need not fear the outcome of a hundred conflicts.
If you know yourself but not the other party, for every success you will also face a setback.
If you know neither yourself nor the other party, you will be at risk in every situation.”
— Sun Tzu, The Art of War
